POPPY SEED COOKIES
1/3
cup or 5 oz. Butter, softened
2/3 cup confectioners sugar
3 egg yolks
3 ½ tbsp sour cream
2 ¾ cup of Flour
2 tsp. Backing powder
1 egg
4 tbsp. poppy seeds
Method
1.
In a mixer, cream sugar with soft butter. Add egg yolks and cream. Add dry
ingredients. Roll out.
2. Using a dough hook or paddle, knead for 3-4 minutes.
3. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
4. Roll dough 1/8” thick
5. Using cookie cutters, cut dough
6. Place on a butter baking dish
7. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 10 minutes or until done
8. Serve with ice cream
